HCSG Area Executive Chef Wins Industry Partner of the Year

Healthcare Services Group Area Executive Chef, Shawn McGregor, recently received the Industry Partner of the Year Award at the 2022 Senior Living Conference hosted by the Florida Senior Living Association (FSLA). This award recognizes service partner leadership within the association member community. “This is an incredible honor for me,” said Chef Shawn.

Not only did Chef Shawn win an award, but he he hosted the FSLA Chef Competition, supervised the Healthcare Services Group exhibit, and served as a speaker at this annual event that drew more than 500 participants to Orlando, Florida.

“I have been working with and supporting the FSLA for several years. Over the last four years, I have hosted the annual Chef Competition held during the conference which I really enjoy as I get to interact and mentor up-and-coming culinary talent in the industry.“

Nominations for the award were requested statewide, and the FSLA board of directors selected the final winners for the six award categories, including Industry Partner of the Year, Executive Director of the Year, Sales & Marketing Director of the Year, Caregiver of the Year, Employee of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year.

After the ceremony, Chef Shawn commented on being the 2022 recipient of this prestigious award. “I was humbled… it’s an amazing award, and I cannot begin to thank everybody enough. I believe it is upon all of us to not be only service partners, but allies in the pursuit of excellence for the ones we serve in an industry from which we are so richly rewarded.”

Chef Shawn will continue to stay active with FLSA as a member of the newly established Hospitality Committee.
